<p style="text-align: justify;">Les menus de la barre d&rsquo;OS X changent en fonction des fenêtres d&rsquo;applications sélectionnées; mais le menu &lsquo;Pomme&rsquo; ne change pas. Ce petit menu vous permet d&rsquo;accéder aux Préférences Système, Préférences du Dock, Préférences Réseau, App Store, à la mise en veille, au redémarrage, à l&rsquo;extinction ou à la déconnexion du système. Il y a une autre façon d&rsquo;accéder à la plupart de ces fonctions. Les Préférences Système, l&rsquo;App Store et les préférences du Dock sont toutes accessibles à partir du Dock ou à partir des Préférences Système. Cependant, il n&rsquo;y a pas de raccourcis natifs pour les options d&rsquo;alimentation. C&rsquo;est là que <strong>Functional</strong> prend toute son importance. Il est ajouté au dock comme une pile qui, lorsqu&rsquo;on clique dessus, affiche des boutons pour Redémarrer, Déconnecter, mettre en veille et Arrêter. En cliquant sur chaque bouton s&rsquo;exécute l&rsquo;action correspondante.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Une fois téléchargé, faites glisser et déposer l&rsquo;application sur le Dock et cliquez dessus. Vous verrez les quatre boutons apparaissant en forme d&rsquo;escalier. En cliquant l&rsquo;un d&rsquo;eux s&rsquo;exécute la fonction correspondante avec un léger retard.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Nous notons toutefois des défaillances de fonctionnement du logiciel. Pour ceux qui veulent l&rsquo;utiliser sur Mountain Lion ou Lion, vous aurez des problèmes pour lancer l&rsquo;application si Gatekeeper fonctionne avec des paramètres &lsquo;strictes&rsquo;. Si vous exécutez l&rsquo;une des applications à partir du Finder en utilisant l&rsquo;option &lsquo;ouvrir&rsquo; dans le menu contextuel, l&rsquo;application renvoie &lsquo;erreur développeur non identifié&rsquo; ou &lsquo;unidentified developer error&rsquo;. Pour pouvoir exécuter l&rsquo;application, vous devez modifier les paramètres du Gatekeeper pour permettre aux applications non signées ou ne provenant pas de l&rsquo;App Store de fonctionner mais cette manipulation n&rsquo;est certainement pas recommandée.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Tout n&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;une question de préférences personnelles. Un grand nombre d&rsquo;utilisateurs risquent de trouver le menu de la Pomme plus simple et rapide pendant que pour d&rsquo;autres cette application pourrait rendre leur vie plus facile.</p>
